I feel most alive when I am moving. I have spent a lifetime in various dance classes and recently fell in love with rhythm tap dancing. I was a dance major at Brenau University in Gainesville, GA and moved to NYC to continue my dance education in 1994. I studied massage at the Swedish Institute of Allied Health Sciences and became a licensed massage therapist in 1998. I built a busy private practice in Manhattan and now I am building a new practice in NW Philadelphia.

My continuing education in massage includes Swedish, Shiatsu, Thai, Lomi Lomi, deep tissue, myofascial release, and sports massage as well as prenatal massage and infant massage instruction. In 2009 I began training in the MELT method and am certified to teach the hand and foot treatments, the MELT length series and the MELT strength series. In 2012 I completed the Swedish Institute’s advanced personal training certification. I also hold a Level 1 Kettlebell  certification, an Indian clubs certification, and I am a Next Generation Yoga for Kids instructor.

My eclectic background offered me the opportunity to work as a wellness specialist onboard Lindblad/National Geographic ships for 4 years. There I escaped the city life for the wilds of Alaska, Baja California, Costa Rica, Panama and the Columbia River Valley. I was also privileged to work with the Philadelphia Ballet for several seasons as well as the Drexel swim team.

I moved to Philadelphia in 2015 because I wanted the Wissahickon Valley park to be my backyard! I spend as much time as I can there with my high-energy dogs. My all-time favorite job title is “Auntie Jen Jen” and I have four busy nephews and one bright eyed niece who definitely keep me moving!
